 ‘Mr Simms for Artside 2011'

Under the title 'PAUSE'  the requirement was to create a site-specific response to a venue, shop  or space in the High Street. Southend-on-Sea.

my venue was Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe.
My initial response to the shop was an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia and reminiscence, the recollection of memories and associations with certain sweets, smells and tastes creates a total overload of the senses.
