'The Lost Walks of Rochford'
A project in conjunction with Rochford Art Trial
This is an art project supported by the Rochford District Council Arts Development Team. The project was originally led by artists Ali Pretty and Richard White who regularly collaborate on heritage walks, which they describe as ‘feet on the ground and digitally connected’
This series of planned public walks, ranging from between five and seven miles long and are based throughout some of Rochford District countryside. They are a chance for all to rediscover the unused and often overgrown, rural and coastal footpaths through some of the wild, but beautiful countryside. Whilst walking, conversations, myths, legends and forgotten heritage were shared and archived, not only with those present but with others further afield by using various social medias, mapping and tracking technology. |
